Heart of the City is one of Sheffield’s key economic projects. Backed by Sheffield City Council alongside its strategic delivery partner Queensberry. In addition to encouraging new retailer and leisure opportunities to the city centre, the scheme will provide office spaces, hotels, residential developments and much more.
My role within the project was to illustrate and bring together the old and the new. Combining photos taken from walks around the city centre with the architects plans, I wanted to capture the vibrant community of sheffield in each person in every scene whilst maintaining the existing heritage buildings that are familiar to those who know or live in Sheffield.
Working in collaboration with Small Back Room for the developing brand and repositioning of Heart of the City. If you would like to see how the illustrations are being used or find out more about the project you can visit heartofsheffield.co.uk.
